The Setting And Characters Of “Action Speak Louder Than Words by Jamie Press”

Action speak louder than words is the story that has setting and the characters in the story. So I want to analysis these short story. There are three parts of setting that is setting place, time and social. The characters “action Speak Louder Than Words” has apprearance from the story such as antagonis , protagonist and supporting role. There are three parts of characters that is appearance, characterization and development.

Setting
The setting “Action Speak Louder Than Words by Jamie Press”
Setting Place is in school and also especially library because in this story tells about parts of school.
“Along the wide open, long corridor of this college lie piles .Of scattered belongings from students.Bags, folders, ppaper Everywhere.It’s like there was a sudden rush to get out.”
“Books lie on the floor, scattered, chairs and tables been Kicked over, papers, folders everywhere, computers smashed. Underneath some of the tables and desks are students looking Terrified”. 
“They’re walking towards the entrance of the library”
This is explain that there are items in the classroom such as books, desk bags etc. it is certain that this story is in school and also in library.
Setting Time is in the afternoon ( at a day ) this story explain that the activity in school ongoing.
“Inside another classroom we see a bunch of student and their 
teacher . They’re hiding underneath their desks. The Teacher’s 
desk has been pushed up against the door to the classroom, 
blocking entrance. The students look incredibly scared”.
Activities at school only until afternoon are no more than that. So I determined that the time in this story is an ongoing school activity.
Setting Social, there are two parts of social that is language and culture. Setting social base on language is language that easy to understand and also everyday language. Culture base on the story where a child who does not get justice from his mother and Kevin wants to get affection for his mother but instead he feels careless. So he did things that hurt many people even himself.

The characters
The Characters Protagonist is Aaron. He is a main characters. He dominats from this story that trying resolve problems that occur but cannot solve it. Aaron not have an impact on what happens, even wants to avoid the problems. The characterization about Aaron is Flat there is no impact from Aaron to this problem. Development of Aaron is Static, no interesting in the character of Aaron which does not have any impact on the the problems facing Kevin. 
The Characters Antagonist is Kevin, he is a main characters and also which makes the problem so that conflict occurs he is the real main role/characters behind an event also bring the story to life. The characterization about Kevin Rounded. he has problem that cannot resolved even problems that make his mind is not good. But before having problems with mothers and at school Kevin became a good child, because of his mother’s indifference and problems at school made him do things that are not right. Development of Kevin is Dynamic. There are a lot of changes experienced when his father died and he was not noticed by his mother even there injustice at school.
The Characters Supporting Role is his mother. Why Kevin is causing problems or conflict because he has disappointment toward his parents especially his mother who does not pay attention to him. So his parents be supporting role in this story. his mother have Characterization is Rounded. he gave impact make Kevin get problems. She did not care about Kevin when her husband died. The second supporting role is Teacher. he also Flat charaters there is no impact to the problems. Development of characters is static did not make any changes to Kevin who was having problems.

ANALYSIS PLOT
 This story “action speak louder than words” by Jamie press, the use vocabolary that can be easily understood by every reader. When I read this story make me curious and I thinks this story can also make reader curious, so make me enjoy reading. In this story tells about relationships, family, friends and school. Actions speak louder than words means that people are more likely to believe what you do rather than what you say. There are two boys in this story Aaron , 16 years old and Kevin , 16 years old too. Kevin always wait for a reply by Aaron. The plot from this story that is:
 The beginning of the story makes people interesting by telling the college atmosphere.
”Along the wide open, long corridor of this college lie piles of acattered belongings from students , bags, foldes, papers everywhere, it’s like there was a sudden rus to get out.” And also introduce the role of characters in this story.
Underneath one desk is Aaron , 16 years old, he too is terrified , he lies on his stomach with his hands over his hand. He doesn’t dare move.
The introduction of this story is where there is a students named Aaron who does not have the courage.
The Rising action from this story is Hey there. Aaron can’t reply. He’s too terrified.
when a person named Kevin called him. Aaron just paused And not reply that's where the storyline began.
The Conflict from this story is stared Aaron slowly gets up. Kevin remains seated on the floor. Still a little skeptical, Aaron never turns his back on Kevin. He walks slowly to the door
I think that this is the beginning of the conflict that will occur because Kevin does not know Aaron, Aaron while carrying a weapon in his hand.
The Climax is it’s never been more true. For years and years I’ve told people about my life. For years, I’ve told people about everything but yet, nothing happens. It’s like in school. When a kid is getting bullied he goes and tells a teacher. That teacher would then tell the bully to stop, even though he says he will, he never does. He just comes back and does it even more. But if that kid who was getting bullied never told the teacher and instead turned around and decked the bully with a right hand then the bullying would stop straight away. (beat)Actions....speak louder....than
words. climax where actions are better than just words that are said by Kevin. climax where kevin is being bullied he asks for help from his teacher but his teacher is just saying but not acting.
The Falling action is Aaron slowly gets up. Kevin remains seated on the floor. Still a little skeptical, Aaron never turns his back on Kevin. He walks slowly to the door.
In this story falling action when Aaron left Kevin still lying on the floor. He went outside the door.
The Denoument is Aaron comes running out of the school building. Then we HEAR
-- BANG! -- A GUNSHOT ECHOES. Aaron stops in his tracks. He
looks back to the building. He knows what happened. He takes
a minute to think then continues running. Multiple police
cars enter the college grounds. SIRENS FLASH AND BLARE as we CRANE UP to the beautiful clear sky.
In the action story speak Louder than Word is a close ending because the problems in the story are solved immediately without any subsequent sessions. Communication and society relations are very important. The Denoument of this story is close ending there is no next session.
